About Delos Publishing
Who are we?
Delos is an independent publisher, specialising in art publications such as art books, photobooks and art based periodicals. We strive to create a diverse range of publications, in both theme and form. Unlike some publishers, we don’t force every project to abide by a standard, cookie cutter formula, each project is unique and therefore deserves a unique publication to represent it.
Delos publishing is run by Artemis Hatfield, a fine art photographer from the UK. Artemis’s own artistic practice covers a broad range of subjects, including documentary, conceptual art, sexuality and gender identity, and alternative/experimental photographic practices.
They are passionate about communicating artwork via books, zines and other reproducible mediums, both when it comes to their own work and the work of others.
Our Mission
We strongly believe artwork should be accessible for both the artist and the viewer, art should be for everyone. And we think publishing is a great way to make this happen. We aim to work closely with artists on ways to communicate their wok via a published medium, balancing quality with cost and accessibility, as there is little point in creating a book that no one can read.
We want to make publishing more available to smaller artists as well, we publish based on the quality of the work, not how recognisable the artist’s name is.

Community
You may have seen our premiere publication, Carnations, Violets & Lavender, which is a zine released a few times a year where we feature the work of a selection of early-career, queer artists. Artemis Hatfield, who created Delos & CV&L, is a queer artist themself so they are very passionate and interested in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and helping to share the work of fellow queer artists, both through CV&L and working with artists individually.We also work within the wider artistic community, where we aim to share work that reflects a wide range of experiences, perspectives and themes.
